Homecoming Schedule

Sept. 16 Fireworks Display: Set for 8:00 pm on the College’s Queensbury Campus.

Sept. 17 Homecoming Schedule: 8:00 am -3:00 pm

8 am - Bike Rally begins: In person registrations for Tour D’Education Bike Rally begins. Cyclists for the three courses (10 mile, 25 mile & 50 mile) leave at specified times. Bike Rally information and early sign up here
9 am - 3 pm Music (Richie Ortiz first; then E’Town Express); Food Tent and stalls with Student Groups- Community Crafters. Food Tent featuring 1961-priced hot dogs, hamburgers and soda (25 cents each!). Tethered balloon rides.
9 am - 3 pm High ropes course open to public.
9 am - 3 pm “Alumni Experience” in Student Center: Alumni sign up for new Alumni Association; meet old profs; history displays and videos; gifts & prizes.
9 am - 3 pm Campus will be open for self-tours with volunteers in each building to answer questions.
9 am - 3 pm Visual Arts Gallery will be open
11 am - 1 pm World Awareness Children's Museum will provide a craft project for children
11:30 am Adjunct faculty member Miriam Enman has recruited local airplane owners to do several “fly-by’s” over our campus. The first of three will be a fly-by of contemporary aircraft.
12:00 noon - 12:15 pm Final Tour D’Education Cyclists complete Bike Rally.
12:15 noon - 12:30 pm Faculty member John Arpey presents recognition trophies for Tour D’Education Cycling Teams.
12:30 - 1:00 pm 50th Anniversary Ceremony: President Ronald C. Heacock welcomes state and county elected representatives, trustees, campus representatives, and general public.  (On dais in front of Gym; in Gym if it’s raining). Presentation of NY State Proclamation, jointly sponsored by NYS Senator Little and NYS Assemblywoman Sayward and Joint- Resolution from Warren and Washington Counties. President Ronald C. Heacock introduces Guest Speaker, College Alumnus Joe Donahue, co-host of WAMC FM's radio talk program, “The Roundtable.”
1:00 pm - 1:15 pm Classic/Antique aircraft fly-by: At least 8 classic planes will fly over the College beginning at 1:00 pm. Joe Donahue has graciously agreed to announce each aircraft.
1:30 pm WW II vintage fly-by: At least 5 WW II vintage aircraft will fly over the campus.
1:15 pm - 3:00 pm Alumni Experience continues in the Student Center; Music, food, craft/student booths remain open until 3:00 pm.
