The SUNY Adirondack Foundation Board and staff would like to thank everyone who attended the reception in honor of the 2011 - 2012 Scholarship Sponsors and Recipients on November 18, 2011.

The luncheon was be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in SUNY Adirondack Cafeteria with food catered by the FSA Food Service.  Approximately 120 sponsors, students, parents, faculty, staff, SUNY Adirondack Trustees and Foundation Directors attended.  It was our best attendance ever.

This academic year, the Foundation awarded 180 scholarships to students totaling more than $220,000.

Everyone was honored to have 100 year old Vivian Prindl, sponsor of the Dr. Frank Prindl Memorial Scholarship, attend this year.

The guests were welcomed by SUNY Adirondack Foundation President and Alumna, Kathie L. Duncan.  The speakers included Norm Stahlman, sponsor of the Norman Stahlman Washington County Association of Street and Highway Professional’s scholarship who encouraged students to work hard and find something they love.  He reiterated his love for community colleges and encouraged all to support the students and the college. SUNY Adirondack President Ronald C. Heacock praised the student’s choice to attend our college and stressed that their hard work and participation elevates the classroom and college experience for all.
