Design and Drafting

The Associate in Applied Science Degree Program in Mechanical Technology - Design and Drafting at Adirondack Community College trains the student to enter full-time employment as a beginning drafter, capable of making complete and accurate detail and assembly drawings. Other employment possibilities include work as an estimator, structural detailer, entry-level CAD operator, and clerk of the works. This curriculum can also lead to transfer to senior institutions with programs in Engineering Technology or Industrial Technology. Recommended high school preparation: Math through course I, technical drawing, physics.
