- Workshops on Completing the Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling - Are you a new student loan borrower? If you would like to complete the two federal requirements (steps 4 and 5 on the loan processing insert) with a Financial Aid representative in the room to help with questions, workshops will be provided this week. Please stop by Scoville 237 (just outside the Library) between 9:00 to 11:00 or 3:00 to 5:00 on Monday, September 23 or Tuesday, September 24.
- Good News About Federal Loan Interest Rates - Congress has passed, and President Obama has signed, the Bipartisan Student Loan Certainty Act of 2013. What does this mean? The 2013-2014 interest rate for subsidized and unsubsidized direct loans has been reduced from 6.8% to 3.86%. Interest for direct PLUS loans has been set at 6.41%.
- Student Housing Comes to SUNY Adirondack - Students living in our NEW student housing will be billed for room and board (meal plan), according to the following chart, in addition to their regular charges for tuition and fees. ALL forms of financial aid including scholarships, grants, loans and the payment plan can be applied to the bill. Stop by the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions.

4 Person Suite: $3375.00 per semester
2 Person Suite: $3550.00 per semester
Meal Plan: $1550.00 per semester
All meal plans are $1550 per semester. The details for the three plans are:
Plan A: 200 meals per semester, $100 declining balance
Plan B: 150 meals per semester, $400 declining balance
Plan C: 125 meals per semester, $550 declining balance
*Resident students are required to purchase a meal plan
