Coaching Staff

Prof. Xiao Li started his teaching/coaching career as an assistant professor of physical education in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education in 1981 after receiving his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education there.  Prof. Li’s physical education credential also includes:  Master of Art in Education from Hebei University (1986), Master of Science in Physical Education from University of Wyoming (1990) and Adv. Study in PH. D. program at University of Oregon (1991).  Prof. Li joined SUNY Adirondack faculty in 1991 after years of teaching and coaching in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Hebei University, University of Wyoming and University of Oregon.  

Prof. Li started coaching varsity bowling at SUNY Adirondack in 1992 after Coach Norm Engelhard retired from coaching.  Prof. Li’s coaching philosophy is:  Education through athletic training to develop teamwork, discipline and self confidence.    A coach's role is to help a student athlete to reach his or her athletic potentials.   Timberwolves bowling produced many elite bowling athletes in the national, regional and conference levels.
