Historical and Architectural Importance: Company founded in 1865 by Jeremiah and Daniel Finch and Samuel Pruyn. It consisted of a sawmill, black marble quarry, gristmill, lime quarries and kilns. By 1892, it was Glens Falls' largest lumber producer. Black marble was quarried until 1923, but was not popular after 1875.
