ACC Bowling Team to Hold Tryouts Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 (Nov. 05, 2009) -

QUEENSBURY – The Adirondack Community College varsity bowling team is looking for a few good keglers.

Tryouts for the ACC men’s and women’s bowling team are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. and Friday, November 20, at 3 p.m. at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward. Broadway Lanes will be ACC’s home lanes for the upcoming season.

Bowling coach Xiao Li is looking for a few strong bowlers, both men and women.

The ACC squad has qualified for the NJCAA National Bowling Championships five years in a row and competes in the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference.

Last year, the team finished sixth in the national tournament, led by Shawn Junko, who was named to the All-Region Team with a 214.5 average, and Shawn LaChappelle, who was named to the All-Conference Team with a 215.6 average.
