ACC Center Seeking Course Proposals for Popular Summer Enrichment Program (Dec. 23, 2009) -

QUEENSBURY, NY - The ACC Center for Personal and Professional Development is seeking new course proposals and instructors for its Summer Enrichment Program.

Courses at the Queensbury campus will run for three weeks, Monday through Thursday, from July 12 through July 29, 2010. Three time slots will be offered: 8:15 to 10:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Students are grouped into two levels: grades 3-5 and grades 6-9.

All course proposals will be considered. However, art and science rooms are limited and courses selected for the program will be based on the availability of appropriate rooms.

Proposals should include a course outline by day and take into consideration the attention span and skill level of the targeted age group. Successful courses include hands on activities, opportunities for independent work, problem-solving and higher level thinking activities.

New instructors should include resumes when returning their course proposals.

Course proposals are due February 8, 2010.
