Queensbury American Legion Post 1797 is seeking applications for a $500 scholarship at SUNY Adirondack.

To be eligible, a student must be a veteran or a close relative of a veteran, specifically a son or daughter, grandchild or niece or nephew. The SUNY Adirondack scholarship will be awarded each spring semester.

Scholarship applications can be picked up at the Randles Veterans Resource Center on SUNY Adirondack’s Queensbury campus. Completed applications should be returned by March 31 to Veterans Benefits Advisor Ruben Acevedo Jr. at the Randles Veterans Resource Center.

Applications will be reviewed by an American Legion Post scholarship committee. If the committee finds more than one student deserving of the award, the American Legion Post will divide the scholarship between two applicants.

For more information, contact Ruben Acevedo Jr. at 518.832.7744 or Ruben.Acevedo@veterans.ny.gov.
