SUNY Adirondack congratulates faculty and staff retirees for 2014
(QUEENSBURY, NY – June 12, 2014) – SUNY Adirondack wishes farewell and good luck to the college’s eleven retirees in 2014.
This year’s retirement class includes eight faculty members and three members of the administrative staff with a combined total of 283 years of service to the college.
The retirees, listed below in order of years of service, are:
David Ofiara, Professor of Library-Media Sciences – 43 years.
Darla Belevich, Professor of Physical Education and former Director of Athletics – 40 years.
Dr. Roger Longo, Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Sociology and Human Services – 40 years.
William Losinger, Associate Professor of English – 40 years. (No photo available.)
William Steele, Associate Professor of Culinary Arts – 34 years.
Dari Norman, Executive Assistant to the President – 20 years.
William Weiss, Associate Professor of English – 20 years. (No photo available.)
Marcia McCormack, Associate Professor of Science – 16 years.
Barbara Green, Counselor and Dean for Student Success – 15 years.
Marjorie Kelly, Director of Human Resources – 8 years.
Dr. Ronald C. Heacock, President – 7 years.
Established in 1983, the SUNY Adirondack Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charitable corporation and provides more than $200,000 in scholarships for local students each year, sponsors mini grants and special request funding for faculty and staff initiatives, and raises funds for college projects.
