WNYT's Mark Mulholland to speak at SUNY Adirondack commencement May 19
QUEENSBURY – SUNY Adirondack will graduate 335 students at the College’s 49th annual spring commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center for students receiving diplomas in the college’s various degree and certificate programs.
The public is cordially invited.
Commencement speaker will be Mark Mulholland, a SUNY Adirondack alumnus and the Saratoga Springs bureau chief for WNYT/NewsChannel 13 in Albany.
Mark leads WNYT's news coverage in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. A native of Whitehall, Mark currently resides in Wilton.
Mark's first venture into broadcasting was in Glens Falls, where he was a radio news reporter for WWSC/WYLR while taking classes at SUNY Adirondack and attending SUNY Brockport.
Mark joined NewsChannel 13 as a reporter in 1993 and soon became a weekend sports anchor, and later a weekday general assignment reporter for the top-rated station's 6 p.m. newscast.
Members of the SUNY Adirondack graduating class will be presented by Dr. Ronald C. Heacock, president of SUNY Adirondack and Brian Durant, interim vice president for academic and student affairs.
Commencement marshals will be Wendy Johnston, instructor of political science, and A. Nicholas Buttino, professor of business. The ACC Chorale, conducted by Miriam Enman, will perform. The processional and recessional will be led by members of the Adirondack Pipes & Drums.
A reception for the graduates and their families will be hosted by SUNY Adirondack on the floor of the Glens Falls Civic Center following the ceremony.
