Ronald C. Heacock, Ph.D.
President

On behalf of the faculty, the administrative staff, and the support staff, we are pleased you are visiting the Adirondack Community College web site. ACC has educational programs and instructional systems to meet the needs of every student. The college is small enough to provide rewarding personal interaction between the professor and the student, yet large enough to offer diversity in choice of program.

We have high quality transfer courses and curricula for students who wish to pursue their first two years of a four-year degree at ACC before transferring to a four-year college or university.

We also offer unparalleled occupational skills training in numerous technical, business and health-care fields geared toward preparing students for high-wage, high-skill, high-demand occupations.

ACC has a local and national reputation of excellence in all endeavors. As part of the SUNY system, ACC offers its students quality experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Our success is attributed to dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to providing for you the best possible academic experience. ACC's dedication to excellence and the relatively small size of ACC make possible the friendly conditions necessary for quality instructional programming and the formation of communities of learners.

The college has built its reputation upon being responsive to the needs of the people it serves. Adirondack Community College takes pride in its flexibility and willingness to change with the changing times.

Our Queensbury campus is conveniently located and close to home and work. For additional convenience, we also have instructional sites in Wilton, Cambridge and local high schools. Our student services office will offer assistance every step of the way from the time you apply at ACC to the completion of your degree and beyond.

I urge each of you to personally strive for excellence in all your activities and to seek assistance from ACC faculty, staff and students whenever and wherever help is needed.

Sincerely,

Ronald C. Heacock, Ph.D.
President
