Instructors often put assigned readings on reserve in the ACC Library so that they are available to an entire class. These materials are available at the Circulation Desk and are organized by instructor's name.
Please remind your students that they must have an ACC student ID card to use reserve items.
To place an item on reserve:
1) Please print out and complete a Reserve Form. (See link on left.)
2) Bring the form to the Circulation Desk with the material to be placed on reserve at least one week before students will request the material.
Please note:
- Full bibliographic citations (e.g., author, title of article, journal title, volume and page numbers, date, and copyright notice) are needed to include a photocopied work in the reserve collection.
- Photocopied material should also have the instructor's last name, course name and number on the first page. See the ACC Library's Copyright Web page to ensure your material meets fiar use guidelines.
- Brief cataloging records will be created in our online catalog for reserve items.
- Reserve materials are for library use only.
- Photocopied materials will be automatically removed from reserve status at the end of each semester and returned to instructors.
- The Library cannot be responsible for damage to or loss of any personal copies or personal books placed on reserve.
If you have any questions about reserves, please contact:
- Library Clerk Bertha Belanger at the Circulation Desk, at ext. 2384, or
- Library Chair Teresa Ronning at ext. 2261.
Thank you.
