How to Update Your Operating System

An important step to keep your computer virus free is to make sure you routinely update your software, especially your operating system and internet browser. Updates from Microsoft and Apple come out monthly, and usually include important security fixes that are needed to keep your computer safe.

• Steps to Install Windows Updates:
  • Connect to the internet and open Internet Explorer.
  • Click on the Tools menu and click on Windows Update.

  • Connect to the internet and click on the Apple menu.
  • Click on the Software Update choice.
  • The list of updates will appear. Click on the Install button to download.
