Welcome to ACC Online at
Adirondack Community College.
Before your first visit to your online courses please
take a minute now to read information about:
What is "Plan B"?
"Plan B" is your technology backup plan. Be sure
you have one before you begin your online courses. Find a friend,
a relative, or a public library that has a computer with Internet
service that you can use in case of emergencies. Be sure it has
any special software your course requires. Student Computing Labs on our Queensbury
campus and at the ACC Wilton site near Saratoga Springs are available
for your use.
"The computer ate my homework . . ."
Please make backup copies of your homework on a diskette,
a ZIP disk, CD, or flash drive at the end of every work session as insurance against technical problems.
Where do I buy books?
You can order books, CDs, software and other required
materials directly from the ACC Bookstore. To make sure you're buying the correct books, always consult the ACC bookstore book lists for your online courses before buying your course materials.
Where do I get help?
Student Services and Academic Support:
The members of your ACC
Online Support Team are available to provide you
with a full range of student services and academic support.
Technical Help:
The Technical Help
page has complete information about getting technical support for
your online courses. Go there FIRST if you encounter any technical
problems. Please do not call ACC. We are unable to help you with
technical problems in your online courses.
Is there extra help for first-time online students?
ACC SLN coursework is conducted entirely online. However, if you live in the area and you have never taken an online course before, you are encouraged to attend a hands-on ACC SLN Student Orientation Campus Workshop .
How do I get a password and access my course(s)?

SLN ANGEL Pilot
In Fall 2007 ACC Online began the transition from offering all online courses in the SLN "Classic" system to offering all courses in the new SLN ANGEL system. By Fall 2008, all ACC Online courses will run in SLN ANGEL. During Summer 2008, ACC will offer a mix of SLN "Classic" courses and SLN ANGEL courses.
The process for accessing SLN "Classic" courses is completely different from accessing SLN ANGEL courses. If you're taking one course in SLN "Classic" and another course in SLN ANGEL you need to log into the "Classic" system for one and the ANGEL system for the other.

The following are SLN ANGEL courses. For courses listed here, click on the link below for the SLN ANGEL Pilot. For courses NOT listed here, click on the link below for SLN "Classic" courses. |
