Writing Center Resources
for ACC Online Students
Phone Tutor:
Welcome to the phone tutoring
service of the ACC Center for Reading & Writing (CRW). Here's how it works:
Send your request to
writingcenter@sunyacc.edu
In your message include the following:
- Your phone number
- Two or three dates and times you want the phone
tutor to call you (see CRW hours below)
- Any major concerns you have about your paper
Attach a file copy of your draft.
PLEASE NOTE: Our word processor is Microsoft Word.
If you use another word processor, such as WordPerfect, please
save your document as a Word format file type or as a "rich
text format" (*.rtf) file type before you send it to us.
We will respond by reply e-mail within 24 hours
to requests received on weekdays. Otherwise, you will hear from
us within 72 hours. Tutors can call you only during CRW hours:
Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM
Friday, 8 AM to 2 PM
Tutoring sessions are 30 minutes long. Thanks.
