1.  annual reports (treat like books)

In-text citation:

Nabisco says that SnackWell’s became a “power brand” almost as soon as it was introduced (Nabisco, 1996).

References page:

Nabisco. (1996). 1995 Annual Report. Parsippany, NJ: Author.

2.  newspaper articles

In-text citation:

The Microsoft anti-trust trial may initiate legislation to curb the power of large corporations (Wilkes, 1998).

References page:

impacts, legal fireworks. The Wall Street Journal., B1, B12.

3.  magazine article

In-text citation:

Most male executives do not encourage female co-workers to rise within the company because those executives are threatened by women who do not conform to traditional notions of femininity (Schwartz, 1987).

4.  book with one author

In-text citation:

Benson (1979) suggests that acupuncture relieves pain by “either altering the capacity of the nerves which carry impulses...or by changing the programming of the central nervous system itself.”

In-text citation:
