TRIO Upward Bound

What is TRIO Upward Bound?

TRIO Upward Bound is a student-centered program designed to generate and promote the skills and motivation necessary to graduate from high school, enter and succeed in college. We seek to provide an exciting and energized opportunity for you to develop your ability to understand and enjoy the challenge of education at any level. You will be exposed to a wide range of cultural and educational experiences aimed at preparing you for the social and academic challenges of higher education.

Upward Bound is not a remedial program, but a college preparation program.

TRIO Upward Bound is fully funded by the United States Department of Education and is offered in partnership with Adirondack Community College to high school students in 9th - 12th grade at no cost to the students or their families.

Services Available Through Upward Bound

There are two main components of the TRIO Upward Bound program at ACC which are required for each participant, the academic year and the summer program.
