The Summer Program

The summer program provides an exciting and adventurous opportunity for you to immerse yourself in a college community experience.

During a six-week program, you will attend both required and elective courses aimed at providing a challenging, nurturing, and hands-on educational experience. You will attend core courses in Math, Science, Composition, Literature, and Foreign Language and will be offered additional educational opportunities ranging from personal development to leadership skills.

You will also participate in community service, recreational activities, and cultural events that will help you to build new and lasting relationships with other Upward Bound students and a greater understanding of the world around you. The shared goals among all activities and courses provided through Upward Bound are to expose you to new and different experiences, teach you to become an active participant in your own learning, and prepare you for the social and academic challenges of higher education.
