Who Should Apply

Because TRIO Upward Bound is a federally funded program, students selected to participate must meet certain eligibility requirements including:

  • The ability and willingness to benefit from Upward Bound's services for academic development, counseling, and cultural programming
  • Being a student between the age of 13 and 19, who has not yet entered her or his senior year in high school and who is interested in attending a college or university after high school
  • Having a parent or guardian who has not yet graduated from a four year post-secondary institution.
  • Living in a household that meets federally defined income guidelines
  • Attending school in a pre-defined catchment within Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties
