2008-2009 ACC Scholarship Program
(coordinated by the ACC Foundation)

What

An opportunity to complete a single application for consideration for more than sixty awards (individual awards range from $100 to full-tuition). Recipients will be notified in late April and the information shared with the Business Office as a deferment against your Fall 2008 tuition and fees charges.

Who

ACC students enrolled in Spring 2008 classes who have earned a minimum of 12 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 at the end of the Fall 2007 semester, and who plan to enroll at ACC for at least six credits for the Fall 2008 semester. Please note that students pursuing SUNY Plattsburgh degrees on the ACC campus are not eligible for this scholarship program.

How

This year the application is in two parts. Part I contains demographic and identification information needed to enter your application in the Banner system. Part II is the information to be reviewed by the selection committee and includes your current and future majors, ACC and community involvement, and, most important of all, your responses to four questions that will .introduce. you to the selection committee and scholarship sponsors. We encourage you to review your application carefully and consider using the services of the Writing Center. Note that the selection committee may be influenced by the presentation of your application, including completeness, spelling, grammar and neatness.

Go to the ACC web site (www.sunyacc.edu) and follow the link to the 2008-2009 Scholarship Program pages. Download the application, (see helpful hints for completing the application), sign and date, and submit your application (both parts) to the Financial Aid Office in Warren Hall no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2008.
