GRADUATION APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS


All students wishing to graduate must file an application. Please follow the directions below:
  1. The specific requirements for your degree are outlined in the College catalog. Questions about these requirements should be discussed with your advisor or counselor. You will need to meet with them to complete your application. General requirements include:

    • completion of a minimum of 64 credits for a degree and 30 credits for a certificate.
    • If you are a transfer student, you must complete at least 30 ACC credits for a degree and 15 ACC credits for a certificates.
    • a CQPA of 2.00, not rounded.

  2. Application deadlines to apply for receipt of your diploma in January, May or August are as follows: November 30 for January, March 31 for May, July 31 for August.
    NOTE: If any of these dates fall on a weekend, applications are due the Friday prior to the deadline.

  3. Attendance at the May Graduation ceremony is encouraged. ACC attempts to make this ceremony, meaningful and special.

  4. Information regarding the ceremony will be mailed to you about two weeks prior to graduation.

  5. Complete the Graduation Application Form and have your advisor or counselor attach your degree audit print-out or graduation worksheet.

  6. Obtain a signature from the Oasis Center where you may be asked to participate in a 35 minute activity.

  7. Submit the completed application to the Business Office prior to the deadline with payment of appropriate fees. Approximate fee: $20 - diploma. Regalia can be purchased from the Bookstore directly, call 793-5250.

  8. The Registrar's Office will review your application and notify you of any requirements not completed.

  9. If you have borrowed from the Federal Student Loan Program (FSL, UFSL) while in attendance at ACC, you are required to attend an exit interview session prior to graduation. You will be notified by the Financial Aid Office of available sessions.
