Learn to retrieve the specific data you need to get the most use out of your databases! This course will help you learn how to compose Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to retrieve information from a database.
Topics include: executing a simple query; performing a conditional search, including simple and multiple conditions, comparing column values, and searching for a range of values and null values; working with functions; organizing data, including sorting, grouping and filtering; retrieving data from multiple tables, including joining tables and checking for unmatched records; and presenting query results.
Prerequisite(s): Access: Intermediate, or intermediate level database experience, including familiarity with database structure, terminology, and working with querying data. |

This 15-hour course conducted over five sessions was developed to teach engineers how to use the SolidWorks mechanical design automation software to build parametric models of parts and assemblies and how to make simple drawings of those parts and assemblies.
The focus of the course will be on the fundamental skills and concepts central to the use of SolidWorks. Rather than focusing on individual features and functions, this process-based training course will emphasize the processes and procedures required to complete a particular task.
Laboratory exercises will provide participants an opportunity to apply and practice the material covered during the lecture/demonstration portion of the course. The exercises are designed to represent typical design and modeling situations while being modest enough to be completed during class time.
Prerequisites: In order to derive full benefit from this course, participants should meet the following basic prerequisites:
• Mechanical design experience
• Experience with the Windows operating system
• CAD, Introduction to Drafting, or board drawing experience
*Sorry, we cannot honor audits for this course.
*This course has been approved by the New York State Board for Engineering and Land Surveying for 15 hours of Continuing Education for Professional Engineers. |
