Leadership Essentials for the New Supervisor

The ACC Center for Personal and Professional Development has developed a training program for area employers entitled Leadership Essentials for the New Supervisor. This professional development program was designed specifically for individuals who have been promoted to supervisory roles with little or no supervisory experience to help them better handle the challenges of today.s workplace.

Going beyond many canned training programs, Leadership Essentials for the New Supervisor covers the following skills and can be tailored specifically to meet your organization.s training needs:
  • Role of the Supervisor
  • Making the Transition to Supervisor
  • Team Building
  • Effective Interpersonal Communication
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making
  • Motivating Others
  • Performance Evaluation
  • Managing Conflict
  • Dealing with Difficult People
  • Stress Management
  • Technical/Computer Skills
If you have a group of new supervisors or managers who could benefit from this professional development program, please contact the ACC Center to discuss how we can work together to design a highly flexible, convenient, participatory, .nuts and bolts. training program that your supervisors will be able to immediately apply on the job.

Contact Louis Buck, Dean, at ACC at 832-7604 or buckl@sunyacc.edu for more information.
