With names like Cat Walk, Dangle Duo, Spiders Web, Team Triangle, and Mohawk Walk, this course consists of a series of high and low rope adventure activities. Group exercises are done to build trust among class members and pave the way for the more adventurous activities. All activities are designed to build leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; empower individual participants; and encourage self reflection. Traverse a high balance beam and climb a giant ladder, both suspended in the trees thirty feet off the ground. Soar through the air on the Flying Squirrel, climb our rock climbing wall, and work as a team to balance a giant teeter-totter and cross a tight wire walk. Sound fun and challenging? We didn’t even mention the molten lava and giant peanut butter pit! The philosophy of “Challenge by Choice,” or emphasis on cooperation rather than competition and support rather than performance pressure, is emphasized throughout the course. Adventure Challenge Experience takes place outdoors on the ACC high and low ropes Adventure Challenge Course, weather permitting. Please dress appropriately for the weather and time of year.
