Pat LaHaise (Men's & Women's Tennis) - Pat LaHaise has served as SUNY Adirondack men’s and women’s varsity tennis coach since 2006.
Pat, a SUNY Adirondack alumnus, is an adjunct instructor and teaches fitness classes and racquet sports. He was a standout varsity tennis player during his collegiate days at SUNY Adirondack and SUNY Plattsburgh. He was named captain of the men’s varsity tennis team all four years of his college career and twice earned All-Region honors in NJCAA Region III. He was both singles and doubles champion at the 1970 & 1971 Mountain Valley Conference Championships and the Northeastern Collegiate Conference Championships, was the singles champion of the 1971 ACC Tennis Invitational Tournament, and was named SUNY Adirondack Athlete of the Year in 1972. In 2009, Pat was selected as Coach of the Year at SUNY Adirondack, thus becoming the only individual to be selected as both athlete and coach of the year.
Most recently, Pat was selected Coach of the Year in Region III for the 2012 season and the 2013 season, and in 2012 the men's squad finished 6th in the nation at the NJCAA National Championships held in Plano, Texas
While at SUNY Plattsburgh, he was the only player in the school’s history to qualify for and score points at the NCAA National Championships, advancing into the third round.
