(QUEENSBURY, NY – July 10, 2013) – The SUNY Adirondack Foundation has announced the appointment of Janice Fox of Queensbury and David Wallingford of Saratoga Springs to the Foundation board of directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Janice and David to the SUNY Adirondack Foundation,” said Rachael Patten, Executive Director of Development, Alumni Relations, and the SUNY Adirondack Foundation. “Their appointments will serve to enhance the collective wealth of professional experience and civic involvement of our current board.”
Ms. Fox, a SUNY Adirondack alumna, is owner and president of Adirondack Cotton Company in Bolton Landing. She is president of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Warren County Council of Chambers.
Mr. Wallingford is a retired regional administrator and deputy director of the NYS Division of Veterans Affairs under the NYS Department of Labor. He is a member of the Town of Malta Planning Board and the Town of Malta Veterans Committee.
Established in 1983, the SUNY Adirondack Foundation is a 501(c) 3 charitable corporation and provides more than $200,000 in scholarships for local students each year, sponsors mini grants and special request funding for faculty and staff initiatives, and raises funds for college projects.
