The Financial Aid Office is dedicated to helping students in the pursuit of their education goals by providing financial information, anticipating concerns, and seeking innovative solutions. We recognize the unique and intrinsic value of each person and are committed to serving all in a professional and individualized manner treating students with equality, responsibility, and dignity.
Financial Aid representatives are available in Warren Hall weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. (8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Fridays) to answer questions and distribute application materials on a walk-in basis. General information can be obtained by telephone; however, to ensure confidentiality, dollar amounts cannot be discussed on the telephone. If you would like to make an appointment to meet with an administrator regarding in-depth questions or concerns, please call the Financial Aid Office at (518) 743-2223 (evening appointments can also be arranged).
Banner Self Service
Banner Self Service can also be used to answer many of your questions and we encourage all students to log in on a regular basis. Requirement Tracking will answer questions about the receipt of your FAFSA record or outstanding requirements (e.g., verification materials, copy of DD-214, or social security card) needed prior to the review of your application. The most powerful section of Banner Self Service is the Award section – review your aid eligibility, accept offered work and loan awards, confirm that your TAP application has been processed by NYS HESC. The Financial Aid History section will show aid received in 2007-2008 and beyond including your past and current loans. Finally, you can see how your aid is applied or deferred against your semester tuition and fee charges in the Student Accounts section of Banner (Account Detail by Term).
