"We are dedicated to fostering student learning, growth and development through challenging and supportive opportunities both in and outside of the classroom."
Welcome to the Student Affairs Section of the College! As the title suggests, Student Affairs provides needed information and resources to enhance your experience at college.
Student Affairs encompasses six (6) different areas; Accessibility/Veterans Services, Athletics, Counseling, Fitness Center Operations, Residence Life, and Student Activities
The Counseling Office provides individualized counseling for both academic and personal matters. The Office of Accessibility Services focuses on students with either a learning or a physical disability, assists in providing appropriate accommodations, and provides support for Veterans Certification. These two areas are all located in Warren Hall.
The Office for Residence Life, located in the Residence Hall, can provide students with information on our brand new 400 bed housing facility which opened in the Fall of 2013. The center of the student housing complex also features a brand new state of the art work out facility. You can find out more about our Fitness Center offerings by contacting the office of the Fitness Center Supervisor located in the Residence Hall.
The Director of Athletics is located in the Gym. SUNY Adirondack offers a wide variety of men's and women's sports to include soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, and softball. Also, you may want to check out the intramural programs that are offered at midday on Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as nights and weekends.
The Student Center (across from Warren Hall) is where the sixth area, Student Activities, is located. This office coordinates many campus activities including student clubs, student government, guest speakers and other entertainers. Also in this building, you will find the Dean for Student Affairs Office, the Faculty Student Association (FSA) Office, College Bookstore, Cafeteria, Student Lounge and even a representative from the New York State Veterans Association.
As the saying goes, you get as much from college as you put into it. Please stop by, check us out, and use these services! For more information on how we can help please contact us:
