The
Nursing Program at ACC offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree
and prepares its graduates to begin employment in a variety of health
care settings.
The program is approved by the New York State Board of Education, and
is accredited by the National League for
Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
Graduates of the Nursing Program are employed in all health care areas
including hospitals, physicians' offices, clinics, long-term care facilities
and community health agencies.
Successful completion of the curriculum along with the recommendation
of the faculty qualifies nursing graduates to take the National Council
Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses
(NCLEX-RN). ACC nursing graduates have
consistently had pass rates above the national average. Students may attend
either full time or part time.
Full time students can complete the curriculum in two years. Clinical
experience is an integral part of the Nursing Program and is provided
at various area health agencies. |
