Hospitality Certificate

SUNY Adirondack's Hospitality certificate teaches the fundamentals of hospitality and management for a wide variety of entry-level employment in this industry. 

Students will engage in coursework designed to develop skills in accounting, computer and hospitality knowledge. Students will also be able to choose from a range of electives, based on their interest.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The hospitality industry is an integral part of our regional economy. The area's many venues seek well-rounded, capable individuals who understand the dynamics of tourism, economics and marketing. SUNY Adirondack’s Hospitality certificate teaches the fundamentals of management, accounting and communications needed for entry-level positions in this industry.

Students will take specialized courses in:

  • principles of hospitality and tourism
  • accounting
  • Hotel/Resort Management or Convention, Meeting and Exposition Management
  • Adventure Sports, Business, Culinary or Hospitality
