SUNY Adirondack is a comprehensive community college and member of the State University of New York (SUNY) serving approximately 4,200 full –and part-time students annually. Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, SUNY Adirondack is one-hour north of Albany, twenty minutes from historic Saratoga Springs, and just minutes from Lake George. SUNY Adirondack invites applications for the following position:

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF NURSING (Tenure Track)

This full-time position in the Health Sciences Division will be available as of September 1, 2019. The successful candidate will be able to assume responsibilities that include teaching medical surgical and/or fundamentals of nursing. The candidate must have (or be eligible for) a current New York State license as a Registered Nurse.

Requirements for this position include a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience. Previous experience with classroom or clinical teaching experience is a plus. Preference will be given to the candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy and are committed to working with a diverse population of students. Service on Division and College-wide committees is required.

Placement on a salary scale reflects individual degrees/experience.  The salary range starts at $45,095 (2019 – 2020 faculty schedule) and is complemented by an excellent benefits package. Summer teaching and overload are additional.

The Nursing Program at SUNY Adirondack offers an AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degree in nursing.  Students completing the program are eligible to take the NCLEX RN Exam. The program is registered by the New York State Education Department Office of the Professions, and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
