Humanities & Social Science - Concentration in Art Studio

SUNY Adirondack offers a Studio Art Transfer Path in the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Science A.A. degree (LBAA).  Students will have the opportunity to focus on areas such as drawing, painting, two and three-dimensional design and art history.

Unique Features

Students benefit from small class sizes and dedicated faculty who are professional artists that exhibit locally and nationally.  Students will also have the opportunity to exhibit in the Visual Arts Gallery, meet with visiting artists and faculty from four year schools.  Field trips to local galleries and museums, as well as to New York City and Boston, are available.  Additionally, art focused International Study trips to Europe and other areas abroad are offered.

Additional resources include open life drawing sessions, exhibition opportunities, studio and gallery work study and internships.  Articulation agreements with four year private and SUNY schools are available. 

Other course offerings include printmaking, life drawing, life painting and watercolor.

Career & Transfer Opportunities

The Mathematics and Science – Mathematics Concentration degree is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university.  SUNY Adirondack maintains articulation agreements with for seamless transfer, such as:
