"I spent 2 years at SUNY Adirondack and played basketball, baseball and golf. I was the captain of the basketball team for 2 years and have since become the assistant coach. I really enjoyed my time as a player on the team, but now, as the assistant coach, I get to be on the other side of things. I get to be a part of bringing a diverse group of players together and teach them how to become a family. Coach Haskell has taught me a lot over the last 4 years; everything from coaching strategies to dealing with different problems that may arise.

I was Student Senate President for a period of time and it was a great learning experience. I was able to develop my management skills and learned how to run a meeting. I was able to take those skills with me as I entered the business world.

I graduated SUNY Adirondack with my Associate degree in Business Administration and was lucky enough to get an internship opportunity with AIM Services, Inc. in Saratoga.

That internship turned into a job and since I had such a great experience here, I decided to stay and pursue my business degree at SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury, here on the SUNY Adirondack campus.

I had originally wanted to be the student speaker when I graduated SUNY Adirondack, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I was excited to get another chance and I am proud to be the speaker for SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury this year."
