SUNY Adirondack offers opportunity program info sessions

QUEENSBURY, New York (Aug. 10, 2026) — SUNY Adirondack is proud to offer a series of information sessions about ASAP (Advancing Success in Associate Pathways), a SUNY program that provides support to ensure college students successfully complete a degree.

Attend an in-person session at noon Tuesday, Aug. 11, 18 or 25, or Sept. 1 on the Queensbury campus, or remote sessions at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 20 or 27, or Sept. 3, via Microsoft Teams.

These brief information sessions will cover academic, financial and personal support available through ASAP, review eligibility requirements, and leave time for your questions to be answered.

ASAP provides eligible students resources and support to overcome barriers that can prevent obtaining a degree. This includes funding to cover textbooks, groceries, transportation and other costs of attendance, as well as comprehensive personalized advisement, academic support and career development activities.

Students who receive Pell, TAP or Excelsior might be eligible for ASAP, provided they meet the program's other requirements.

SUNY Adirondack was named an ASAP campus in June, when an additional $8 million in funding was allocated in the 2026-27 State Budget.

SUNY Adirondack will launch its ASAP program with an inaugural cohort of 150 students this fall. Patrick Greene is director of ASAP at SUNY Adirondack.

ASAP benefits include:

• A cost-of-attendance award of up to $400 an academic year to cover non-tuition components after all federal and state financial aid;
• A $50 monthly transportation stipend, up to $400 per year;
• A $300 annual textbook stipend
