SUNY Adirondack is committed to enhancing the quality of life and promoting health and wellness of its students, faculty and staff.

The campus Fitness Center, located in the Residence Hall, is a modern gym featuring the latest workout equipment as well as group exercise sessions and fitness events.

The comfortable environment is a safe and welcoming place for the entire campus community to work toward healthier lifestyle choices.


Membership

The Fitness Center is open to current SUNY Adirondack students, faculty and staff.

Access to Fitness Center and College ID

A valid SUNY Adirondack ID is required to gain access into the Fitness Center, NO EXCEPTIONS. Students, faculty and staff must present a valid SUNY Adirondack ID each time they enter the facility.

No other form of ID is acceptable. If you have lost your college ID, please visit the (Student Activities Office in the Student Center) to replace your lost ID. Use of another person's ID to gain access to the Fitness Center will result in immediate suspension of both parties.


Orientation

Current fitness center members may sign up for an equipment orientation session. Our staff will walk you through the facility and show you each piece of equipment. Learn how to safely use the Weight and Cardio equipment and become more comfortable with the facility.

Rules & Policies

By entering the SUNY Adirondack Fitness Center, you are entering at your own risk and agree to abide by the policies and procedures set forth by the Fitness Center Supervisor, the SUNY Adirondack Code of Conduct and Office of Residence Life Handbook. Any participant’s failure to adhere to the fitness center policies and procedures, the SUNY Adirondack Code of Conduct and Office of Residence Life Handbook will lose their privilege of using the facility and may be subject to disciplinary action.

Group Exercise

Group exercise sessions may be available at various times throughout the week during the semester. Visit the Fitness Center, SUNY Adirondack Fitness Center Facebook and Instagram pages or call 518-743-2324.


Open Recreation

The Athletic Building Gymnasium offers open recreation hours from 8:30 to 10 p.m. daily for students, faculty and staff. Open recreation is an unstructured, voluntary use of the recreation facility. This open gym is for individuals, or groups, to share the space. Due to COVID 19 campus policies, any participant of open recreation must be masked at all times. No exceptions.
