SUNY Adirondack offers free FAFSA workshop

Financial aid experts will answer questions, help file important form

QUEENSBURY, New York (Oct. 22, 2025) — SUNY Adirondack offers a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, on the college’s Queensbury campus.

SUNY Adirondack’s Financial Aid professionals will answer individual questions and offer hands-on help to file a FAFSA, an important step in the financial aid process.

“Filling out FAFSA can feel intimidating, but it’s key to unlocking financial aid opportunities that make college possible for many students,” said Colleen Wise, director of Financial Aid at SUNY Adirondack. “Our goal with this workshop is to make the process simple and stress free, so families leave feeling confident and ready to take the next step toward their education.”

The FAFSA application determines the amount of federal financial support a student is eligible for, including grants, work-study programs and loans. States and colleges also use the information to determine eligibility for aid programs.

More than 60 percent of SUNY Adirondack students attend the college free, and more than 80 percent graduate debt free. The college’s Foundation also provides more than $400,000 a year in scholarships.

This workshop will be held in Bryan Hall, Room 147, on the north end of campus (use the second entrance to campus on Bay Road and park in the North Lot).

The FAFSA workshop is free and open to anyone interested in going to college — even if they are not SUNY Adirondack applicants. Registration is requested at https://connect.sunyacc.edu/register/fafsa_workshop_fall25.

Participants should bring their FSA ID login information, if they created one, and 2024 income and tax information.
