SUNY Adirondack offers an Associate in Science (AS) degree in Business Administration that can be earned entirely online and parallels the first half of a bachelor’s degree. This degree is specifically designed for transfer to a four-year institution.

This field of study prepares students for further education in concentrations such as accounting, finance, marketing, economics, human resources, and other business related programs. SUNY Adirondack offers a wealth of established transfer opportunities for its Business Administration students.

Business Administration focuses on the management of all business operations and the critical decision making required for success in today’s fast-paced work environment. Students will learn the fundamentals of business planning, technology, interpersonal skills/communication, critical thinking and execution with a strong foundation in liberal arts. SUNY Adirondack blends practical business experiences with theory and teaches students how to apply these concepts in actual business situations through case studies, interactive sessions and internships.

Students will also take specialized courses in economics, law, ethics, and financial/managerial accounting. Please note: Those students not intending to transfer should consider either the Accounting or Management, Marketing & Entrepreneurship degree programs.


SUNY Adirondack offers small class sizes and access to dedicated faculty who have years of real-world business experience with Fortune 500 companies, CPA firms, and area businesses. Students will also have the opportunity to network with local business professionals at the annual business alumni dinner and career forums.
