Assessment
The office of Assessment and Learning Resources supports academic assessment, teaching excellence and learning resources, including the Library and tutoring centers.
Academic Assessment is the purview of the faculty. This office coordinates faculty assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs), program learning outcomes (PLOs) and the assessment of the major (AoM). The primary goal of assessment is continuous improvement along with meeting expectations for accreditation.
- Teaching and Learning Collaborative (TLC) supports teaching excellence by providing dedicated instructional support for credit and noncredit teaching faculty by offering online teaching support, training, workshops, self-paced resources and a dedicated faculty resource space. The TLC coordinator manages Brightspace, our learning management system, and collaborates with faculty in designing and delivering professional development opportunities.
- The Library provides students, faculty, staff and community members with informational resources designed to support the academic programs of the college and promote lifelong learning skills. Library faculty provide instructional and reference support for the college community.
