Emily Forcier

Emily began her career in higher education as an academic specialist in TRIO Upward Bound at SUNY Adirondack. She went on to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Colorado, focusing on writing administration in the two-year college context. Since then, she has held positions at various institutions as a first-year writing lecturer, Writing Center administrator and Writing Program administrator. Emily values access-oriented environments and is committed to making collegiate education available to diverse student populations. Her roots in TRIO Upward Bound laid the foundation for her identity as an educator, and she is excited to return to SUNY Adirondack to further support the TRIO mission in her own community.

Associate degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from SUNY Adirondack, 2014; Bachelor of Science in English from SUNY Oneonta, 2017; Master of Arts in English from University of Northern Colorado, 2022
