We offer one of the lowest tuition rates in the region, so while we can’t offer financial aid to international students, we strive to make higher education as affordable as possible. With more than 30 degree programs, your great future can start right here at SUNY Adirondack.

Application process
Fill out SUNY Adirondack's free application or the State University of New York's application, which costs $50.
If you submit SUNY Adirondack's, you must email the following to our College Access Office:
- International Student Financial Statement
- Copy of bank statement bank with the name of the student or the sponsor's name (Please note: Bank statements cannot be more than 3 months old.)
- Copy of the biographical page of your passport
If you submit SUNY's application, email the following:
- Autobiographical Essay Form
- English Proficiency Report
- International Student Financial Statement
- Copy of bank statement bank with the name of the student or the sponsor's name (Please note: Bank statements cannot be more than 3 months old.)
- Copy of the biographical page of your passport
2. Complete and submit either a TOEFL exam (internet-based score of 61 or higher required); IELTS exam (overall band score of 5.5 or higher); or Duolingo English Test (overall score of 90 or above) to College Access. In addition, students must submit English proficiency exam results.
Please note: Students who are citizens of a country where English is the native language do not have to submit English proficiency scores. You can find more information about acceptable types of English proficiency in our catalog.
3. Students who attended high school outside the United States must submit a credential evaluation of their transcript. Evaluations must be completed by a member of the National Associate of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). SPANTRAN offers a course- by-course translation and evaluation for students. Please visit SPANTRAN for more information.
4. If you are looking for consideration of transfer credit, request an official evaluation of your college-level classes from WES. This should be a course-by-course evaluation for your college-level courses or transcript.
Deadline
The deadline to apply as an international student is Dec. 15 for spring entry and July 15 for fall entry. To expedite the admissions review process, documents may be emailed to the College Access Office.

SUNY Adirondack does not offer international student scholarships at this time.
