Technician Fundamentals — HVAC

Start your path to a hands-on career with our Technician Fundamentals microcredential — designed to build essential skills for entry-level jobs in the high-demand field of HVAC.

This microcredential gives students a solid foundation in a high-demand career field.

Required courses are:

  • CPRP 404 HVAC/R Boot Camp (Students in this class are eligible to take EPA 608 test and gain OSHA 10 certification.)
  • TEC 103 Electrical Systems and Distribution
  • TEC 178A Boot Camp Internship 

Note: Students must successfully complete CPRP 404 to earn TEC 101 advanced standing credit. CPRP 404 is offered on an on-demand basis through the college's Continuing Education department.

This microcredential:

  • Comprises seven credits;
  • Is able to be completed in two semesters;
  • Costs $240 per credit, for a total of $1,680, plus textbooks and college fees
